The mystery of sleep series

The ability to record sleep is a relatively new activity to be able to do, with sleep neurologists still not fully understanding what happens when we sleep. ‘A sleeping presence is always a mystery, present and absent at the same time’ (‘Night’ by A. Alvarez 1995).
When asleep it is unknown to ourselves what movements we make. This has lead me to focus on the beauty and variety of our physical movements during a nights sleep, that we are simply unaware of and interpreting the confusion of this through the language of drawing.
